Ex-Penglai Peak and Polymer PM launches Kizuna Investment
Hikaru Teramoto has founded his own firm, Kizuna Investment, in Singapore. Kizuna Investment entails a unique investment strategy that combines a Japan-centric long/short strategy and an ECM strategy. The strategy focuses on solidifying a strong fundamental background with a critical understanding of tactical and thematic positioning. The strategy prioritises non-Japan research to leverage global implications and themes. Understanding global themes, whether it is AI, power or robotics, is key to identifying opportunities in Japan. Kizuna aims to profit from corporate governance reform and the rise of promising startups. Hikaru started his career at JP Morgan. He also worked at Nomura, UBS and Morgan Stanley before he moved to the buy-side. He was an investment analyst at JIN Investment before becoming a portfolio manager at Polymer Capital.
