About us

The Hedge Funds Club is a network of hedge fund managers and investors and other alternative investment professionals. The club, founded by Stefan Nilsson in Tokyo in 2005, organises networking and knowledge events and publishes original and curated news, interviews and other content via our channels, including our Hedge Funds Club Newsletter. We hosted our first networking event in Tokyo in 2005 and have since then expanded geographically with events in Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Dubai and London.

The Hedge Funds Club founder Stefan Nilsson has spent most of his career in the hedge fund industry. Initially based in London, he relocated to Tokyo in 2004. During his career in the hedge fund industry, he has worked for major Wall Street firms JP Morgan and Bear Stearns as well as with several fund start-ups and major multi-billion dollar asset managers. He is currently a director of single-family office Terrasias Capital and CEO of HFC Advisory Group.
