Moore Capital Management is expanding in Asia with the appointment of Nick Ritter as head of macro execution. He has been working at Moore in London since 2007. Earlier he was at Brevan Howard and Goldman Sachs.
Graticule Asset Management Asia won the long term performance award at the HFM Asia Performance Awards. Graticule’s Asia Macro Fund won the five-year award category for funds with over US$500m in AUM.
Tokyo-based Stats Investment Management’s Ginga Service Sector Fund has won the (impossibly named) “Single manager long term performance under $500m award” at the HFM’s Asia Hedge Fund Performance Awards.
HFC’s partners at Saxo Markets have been awarded the Best Overall Boutique Prime Broker Award at the HFM Awards Asia in Hong Kong. Saxo’s Matt Cartwright collected the award on behalf of Saxo. Congratulations!
Rebecca Ward has joined Fuchs Capital Partners in Singapore as its new Head of Investor Relations. Most recently, Ward worked in investor relations and client development at MKP Capital Management in London. Earlier in her career she has worked at Stable Asset Management and Rampart Capital.
Juneli Rai has joined Shenwan Hongyuan in Singapore as Head of Manager Selection. She was most recently an investment professional at family office Wah Hin & Co. Earlier in her career, she has worked at Wellcome Trust and the National University of Singapore Endowment Fund.
Unigestion has appointed Edouard Merette as its non-executive chairman for Asia. Merette is a former Asia CEO of both Mercer and Aon. He was also previously managing director in the Asian business of Canadian fund manager Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec among other things.
Lyxor Asset Management has appointed Laurent Renaud as CEO of its Japanese business. Renaud recently joined Lyxor from BNP Paribas Investment Partners in Tokyo where he most recently served as COO.
