Former Myriad PM Sandeep Dhingra has set up Ashiana Capital in Singapore to launch an equity long/short fund focused on India and ASEAN. In addition to Myriad, he has also worked at Star Capital, Tiedemann Global Advisors, Kelusa Capital and JP Morgan.

UBS Global Asset Management has hired Julie Koo as its new head of institutional distribution in Asia Pacific. Koo was most recenlty at HSBC Global Asset Management. Koo will start her new role in April. Earlier she was at Fidelity and Pyramis Global Advisors.

Andrew Bresler, formerly of The Cambridge Strategy, has joined Fuchs Capital Partners as head of business development.

Edward Moon has left his gig as CIO for Woori Absolute Partners in Singapore to become CIO of Sentience Capital. Earlier he was at family office Edge Holdigs, Citi and CSFB.

Hitoshi Kitsunezuka has joined Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management as a fund manager and product specialist. He was most recently a hedge fund analyst at Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management and prior to that started his career as a fund manager at Nomura Asset Management.

Aileen Song has joined China Life Franklin Asset Management in Hong Kong as an executive director focused on sales and marketing. She most recently spent nearly five years at China Asset Management and prior to that she was at BlackRock.

Dagmar Baeuerle has joined Turiya Capital in Hong Kong as Deputy COO. She was most recently at Citi’s Asian prime brokerage and earlier at Crown Advisors, Libra Advisors, Tandon Capital Associates and Booz Allen.

Dhawal Mehta, most recently head of India equity investments at Reliance Asset Management in Singapore, has joined Somerset Capital. Earlier he was at Deutsche Asset Management, HDFC Asset Management and Alliance Bernstein.

Ivan Lee (ex-Macquarie, Nomura, Lehman) is setting up his own hedge fund firm called Iridium Capital in Hong Kong.
