Anthony Sawtell has joined Dymon Asia. He was most recently at LionRock Capital and before that Davidson Kempner. He started his career as an analyst at Deutsche Bank.
Harry Steel, who recently left Mercer in Hong Kong, has joined HSBC Private Bank’s alternative investment group.
Daren Riley, who shut down his hedge fund firm Riley Paterson Investment Management earlier this year, has joined CLSA in Singapore in an equity sales role. His former business partner Stewart Paterson is nowadays a partner at Tiburon Partners in London.
According to Eurekahedge, Japanese hedge funds are up 24.08% YTD as of the end of November while Greater China focused hedge funds are up 17.82%.
